2. General information

We process personal data where necessary to operate this website and respond to enquiries. Personal data includes, for example, your IP address, email address, and information you enter in our contact form.

Our website uses TLS encryption for data transmitted between your browser and the website. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https” in your browser’s address bar.

When communicating by email, complete protection against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed technically. Unless a specific retention period is stated below, we keep personal data only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose. Statutory retention duties remain unaffected.

3. Hosting and server logs

Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit a page, the hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver it. This may include your IP address, the date and time of the request, pages requested, the referring page, browser and device details, and errors. We use these data to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the stable and secure operation of the website.

IONOS receives these data to provide the website. We have a data-processing agreement with IONOS. Server logs are deleted in line with the periods applicable to our hosting product unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

4. Contacting us

If you contact us through the contact form, by email, or by phone, we use the information you provide to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a photography booking. The contact form may collect your name, email address, wedding date and location, your message, and how you heard about us. Required fields are marked in the form.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a possible contract. For other enquiries, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to respond to your message. Where we ask for separate consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR also applies.

You are not legally required to provide these details. Without a way to contact you and the information needed to understand your request, however, we cannot answer it.

We keep these data for as long as needed to handle your enquiry. We then delete them unless a legal retention duty or another legitimate reason requires continued storage. Emails are also processed by the email services we use.

5. Cookies and consent management

Our website uses technically necessary storage so that it works and remembers your privacy choices. We use Complianz for this purpose. Where this involves storing or reading information on your device, the legal basis is Section 25(2) TDDDG. The related processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to provide a functioning website. Where storing your choice is necessary to document consent, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.

Optional analytics and marketing technologies are activated only after your consent through Complianz. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time for the future through the cookie settings on this website. If you reject a category, those technologies are not loaded. Details of cookies, retention periods and categories appear in our Cookie Policy.

6. Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-HQWX6H8DB5), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics helps us understand which pages visitors use and how they interact with the website. It may process page views, usage events, approximate location, browser and device details, and online identifiers on our behalf. Google LLC in the United States may also process the data.

Google Analytics is loaded on this website only after your consent. Without consent, no Analytics tags, cookies or measurement signals are sent to Google. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future through the cookie settings.

The retention period for event data in our Google Analytics property is 14 months. Google may process data for longer under its own legal and technical rules. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics privacy information.

7. Meta Pixel

If you consent to the “Marketing” category, we use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland (Pixel/Dataset ID 1130384316316235). It helps us measure whether visitors reach our website after seeing an advertisement and perform certain actions. For this purpose, page views, technical browser and device information, IP address and online identifiers may be sent to Meta. Meta may link these data to an existing Meta account and use them for measurement and personalised advertising. Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States may also process the data.

The Meta Pixel loads only after your marketing consent. Without marketing consent, no Pixel events are sent to Meta. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time for the future through the cookie settings.

We and Meta are joint controllers for the collection and transfer of Pixel event data under the Meta Controller Addendum. For Meta’s subsequent processing, see Meta’s Privacy Policy. We do not store additional Pixel event data on our website. We do not transmit contact-form contents, email addresses or telephone numbers through the Pixel.

8. External links

Our website links to other services, including Instagram, Pinterest and WhatsApp. Merely visiting our website does not create a connection to these services through those links. When you click a link, you leave our website. The provider’s privacy information then applies. If you message us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp will also process your message and contact details. Please use email or phone for confidential information.

9. Recipients and transfers outside the EU/EEA

We disclose personal data only where necessary for hosting, communication, analytics or marketing, or to meet a legal obligation. With Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, data may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for transfers to certified US companies.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), and data portability (Article 20), subject to the legal conditions. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation (Article 21(1) GDPR). If we process your data for direct marketing, you may object to that processing at any time (Article 21(2) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR). Contact info@marinazp.de to exercise your rights.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (Article 77 GDPR). Our competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg: www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

We do not make decisions on this website based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR.

11. Changes

We update this policy when the website, services used, or legal requirements change. The current version is available on this page.
